Percipitation

Once again the warm ocean temperatures and an east wind have protected us on the North Shore from snowfall. Although it's going to be cold the next few days we might be able to squeeze in a few more days of skateboarding. As for snowboarding it looks like most of the mountains a getting a solid blast of snowfall. Some places might top out at over a foot of new snow and it looks like Sunday River is going to hit the jackpot as far as snow totals go.

The Morning After

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and we at EB Danvers will be more than happy to take all your Christmas money. While your contemplating what to buy, check out this clip on the Snowboarder site of Pat Moore riding some bottomless powder in Japan. Although the conditions around here may never get that good, I did get up Sunday River the other day and conditions were great. They have tons of rails and boxes set up at Southridge. The best thing they had set up was a spine with a tractor tire on top. There are some jumps and more boxes and rails at the Rocking Chair park. They now have the Chondola open which makes it much easier and faster to get to Jordan Bowl or all the way over to Whitcap with less traversing. Sunday River parks crew is also gearing up for the Downtown Showdown in Monument Square in Portland. For info on this and other winter events check out the work in progress, Snowboard events list on the right of the page.
