The first Waterville Laps video is up and it takes you through the Exhibition park with EB rider Robert Connors. The park looks like it's in good shape and don't forget you can buy a Poma Pass for just $99! The Poma Pass is good from now till the end of the season. Today is also the first day that the Superpipe is open.
Parker's been taking advantage of all the recent snow storms and has been stepping up to some sizable local rails. Check out a couple new photos by Trevor Denman.
This week, some of the Eastern Boarder heads headed down to Big Boulder in PA and to Mountain Creek in NJ for some of that Mid-Atlantic flavor (it tastes a lot like Yuengling.) It was well-worth the drive for any New England native. Check Tanner McCarty, Kade Madsen, Ben Ross, Jordan Soohy, Hardbodies, Danny Voegal, and some others cruise around New Jersey and PA. Worcester is the place to be this weekend. The last stop for the Tent Sale Circus begins tomorrow where they will also be showing some snowboard movies and giving away a brand new Burton snowboard! There is also a skate demo Saturday downtown.
Like a lot of you, I am still in summer mode and not fully looking forward to the snow flying. But when the temps drop and the flakes fly the guys at Loon will be ready. I liberated this photo from the Holy Toledo site of a new wallride feature that Norton and the crew are working on. There are going to be A frame creeper rails on the side (the green lines) with a gap in between. Looks pretty cool and that's only one of about 15 planned new features at Loon this year.
Matt Roberge put together this edit of Tanner McCarty, Mike Ravelson and a bunch of other east coast guys snowboarding at High Cascade over the summer. Tanner made the trip home a little early after breaking his jaw for the second time. He didn't need it wired shut this time and it seemed like it healed up a little quicker. Tanner was only home a little while but picked up a few shifts at the shop before packing up and going back up to UVM for the winter.
Leominster is the first stop for our giant snowboard tent sale. They were able to move the whole thing indoors so they wont be effected by the rain. Absinthe Films will be stopping in New England on their Sphere of Influence Tour to premiere their new video NowHere. Bode Merrill, Bjorn Leines and MFR will be there signing autographs and hanging out. There will also be some product up for grabs.
